It's always a trip when playing Flying Lotus' track :D

Another huge festival event coming this spring in Southern California is Beyond Wonderland at the San Manuel Amphitheater. If you haven't been to a Wonderland festival you should definitely check it out. Aside from the awesome music, the art and scenery is what you would expect if you visited "Wonderland"; bizarre, crazy, fascinating, enchanting and ridiculously fun.

Personally, this will be a fun weekend for me as it I celebrate an early birthday with some of my Orange County friends! See you all there!

Most people will be familiar with DJ Snake with his hit collaboration with Lil Jon last year. Don't fret DJ Snake a plenty of other bangers up his sleeve.

Happy Lunar New Years to my fellow readers and friends who celebrate it! It's the year of the goat/sheep (depending which asian culture you're embracing). Enjoy all the festivities and especially the food!

Yesterday I had a blast at The Marvel Experience Tour!

About the Experience:

"Join forces with Marvel’s mightiest Heroes on a mission to save the planet. The Marvel Experience is a first-of-its-kind attraction that covers over two acres and encompasses seven colossal Domes. As S.H.I.E.L.D.’s newest recruit, you’ll swing with Spider-Man, smash with Hulk, and fly with Iron Man in next generation hyper-reality as you prepare to face the forces of Hydra.

Your journey will take you through a 360-degree, 3-D stereoscopic projection Dome, where you’ll get closer than you’ve ever been to Marvel’s Heroes and Villains. You’ll also blast off on a state-of-the-art motion ride, where you’ll feel every twist and turn. The Marvel Experience utilizes the latest interactive technology, including augmented reality, and multi-person gaming.

Along the way, you can get a close-up look at a life-size Avengers’ Quinjet, browse exclusive Marvel collectibles, or take a breather at the hero-themed dining area. You’ll need all the energy you can muster for your final battle against Red Skull, M.O.D.O.K., and their army of evil Adaptoids. If you fail, there’s no going home."

As a soon to be 30 year old, the whole experience was still a blast. All the attractions and games are for all ages so it's filled with lots of fun for everyone. Luckily my friends and I went during a non-packed window time frame and was able to experience everything without a long wait time. Perhaps I'll start photo dumping events like this and music festivals because there's much more to see and experience than what I say about the events.

Overall, definitely a must go if the tour rolls around near your area!

I always enjoyed Azealia Banks' music. Hate her or love her, I think her work is superb.

I love how my hometown of San Diego is getting more venues throughout the year to host music festivals. It's a great place to do so with plenty of coastal venues for the music lovers alike to share and make memories at. Next month is the CRSSD Festival at the Waterfront Park (March 14 &15).What's notable about the venue beside its oceanside attraction is that it is near downtown San Diego where a lot of nightlife, especially the Gaslamp District resides. So if needed a break from the festival madness take a cruise around there.

Notable artists for me at the festival:

Empire of the Sun
Chromeo
ODESZA (excited to see them here and at Coachella)
Flight Facilities
STRKR
Goldroom
Slow Magic
Kaytranada
Pleasure State
Breakbot
Trippy Turtle
Giraffage
Aeroplane
Wax Motif
Nina Las Vegas

Come out and enjoy the music, scene and people!

Angus and Julia Stone - Big Jet Plane

Angus & Julia Stone - A Heartbreak (ODESZA Remix)

It's been quite a few years since their huge hit Big Jet Plane and splitting into solo projects. Now they're back and I'm quite stoked to hear their new music at Coachella this year. Also since ODESZA will be at Coachella too, here's a lovely remix from him of one the duo's latest songs A Heartbreak.
