After seeing some of fun time vaporwave art, a buddy of mine gave me an art commission to go along with an upcoming track of his. Easy, fun, and getting paid? Sure why not! Although it was relatively easy to get the idea out, the photo teaser above is the third iteration of the project. If you know me, I'm pretty OCD when it comes to color coordination as it reflects in my creative projects so getting that part done took a bit of time too.

Below was the original photo he gave me to use and work around with:

I believe I did a good job giving it the vaporwave interpretation it needed as does he. Also got a nod for the vintage Final Fantasy VII pepsi cup since we are Final Fantasy nerds haha.

Who would have known I would get paid for producing a digital artwork? Perhaps I'll take more commissions just for fun and ducketts.

A couple weeks ago I was facing a desk problem. My various headphones were taking up much needed space which I could have put other things haha. That was when I decided to build some custom headphone stands out of LEGO TECHNIC pieces! Inspiration for the designs came from palm trees (I love palm trees for no apparent reason... must be a west coast thing) and future high rise designs. Goal was to minimize the horizontal space the stand actually takes and utilize the vertical space.

Picture above are the first two builds I have produced. There has already have been some inquiries to more of these. With that, I'm trying to get more ideas in and expand a catalog so I can open an etsy page and do further business transactions from there. Not to say using square reader hasn't helped me at all but you know the Internet attracts a wider audience of consumers.

A few months ago I started making random things with my LEGOS that I could use to be useful. Brought them around while turning some heads. Then with some more idea throwing with friends and people (especially the lovely lady pictured above), started a small side business. It's been so far, and always get anxious when things pick up.Also getting the square reader was a great idea making things easier as "cash only" option I had for awhile kind of hindered selling my products a bit. Cheers to new ventures!
